Production Monitoring Blog - Goal Evaluation

This week I have:

• Selected my best images for my 'HOT OFF THE STREET' DPS
• Edited the images
• Finished up my contents page
• Started creating my front cover

This week has been a successful week; I have made a good start on my front cover and pretty much finished my contents page. Plus I now have the images ready to begin my 'HOT OFF THE STREET' DPS.
Unfortunately I am still not following my schedule because I wasted so much time right at the start of my production period.
This week has gone fairly well apart from one minor problem. I had some issues transferring my images from the college computer to my memorystick. My memorystick kept saying that its memory was full and I couldn't add any more files to it... so I went through and deleted over 100 photos and over 20 large files that I didn't really need anymore. After doing this it was STILL saying that I didn't have enough storage space, this was confusing because I only had about 90 photos to transfer and I had deleted more file space than that. I managed to overcome this problem by asking someone if they knew what the problem was, or whether they thought that my memorystick had corrupted... They realised that when my memorystick was plugged in the 'trash can' on the desktop was full, I emptied the trash and realised that I now had loads of free space on my memorystick! Everytime I was deleting things it wasn't actually deleting off the stick itself, just hiding itself... So I managed to get all of the photos home to back up.

My aims next week are to finish my front cover and be well into creating my 'HOT OFF THE STREET' DPS.
