After coming back to my idea I realised that I needed to change the font of the names of the girls to something different to make them stand out more. I chose 'Janada Curlygirl' which is the same font as the 'you' in the top right hand corner.I also added in another pink box in the lower right hand corner as a way to balance out the bottom half of the page.
After thinking about what I was going to fill the bottom half of the page with, I then got my friends to bring in one of the items that they wore to my photo shoot and I took them home to photograph them. (I also used some extras of my own to fill in more space.)
I then edited them so that they had no background and added them into my DPS along the bottom of the page. This is often seen in magazines where they talk about certain items of clothes and what is good/bad about them.
I proceeded to add text to the images to explain what is great about the product and give some helpful style hints and tips.I used my stylish charity bracelets of a way of filling in more space, but also as a clever way to stick to the USP of my magazine.
As an after thought I added in some handrawn arrows that I created in Photoshop as a way of adding something a little more fun to the page, and they also make it more clear which body of text is meant to be with which item of clothing. Again, small details just bring the whole page together, and I think that the arrows make it all the more professional.
I also really like how I have overlayed the test and products in some places, it gives more depth to the DPS. Also, the clothes have been tilted in different directions so that your eye is bounced along the bottom of the page and it is made more engaging.
THIS IS MY FINAL VERSION!
